DIRECTOR OF GOLF - Mick Herron - PGA A-4

Bay Pointe’s Director of Golf - Mick Herron, has been a PGA Member since 1981. After attending Macalester College and University of Pennsylvania , Mick began his professional career as Teaching Professional at Cranberry Valley GC, Harwich , MA . From there he has held Head Pro or Director of Golf responsibilities at Wareham CC (now Bay Pointe) , Ferncroft CC, Gleneagles CC ( Florida ), Hyannis GC and Sandwich Hollows GC.

Mick has won six Cape Cod PGA Chapter Championships as well as seven Player of the Year honors (Dutch Wessner Award), the last two in 2000 & 2001 at age 48 & 49 years old. He is the former President of the Cape Cod , (twice) and tournament director (three times). Mick has served as Vice-President on the NEPGA Board of Directors, and presently serves on the New England Tournament Advisory Board. He is also on the GolfOnCapeCod Magazine advisory board (and a contributor).

Orginally born and raised in South Jersey , he now resides in Bourne, MA with his two sons, Lee & James.

Mick was awarded the 2006 Cape Cod PGA Professional of the Year distinction in the spring of 2007 along with the prestigious 2007 NEPGS Bill Strausbaugh Award for his tireless work for his fellow golf professionals in New England.

HEAD PROFESSIONAL TOM TOBEY A-1

Tom Tobey has been a PGA Professional since 1998. He returns to Bay Pointe from Harbour Ridge CC, Stuart , Florida , where he served as Teaching and Assistant Professional since 1993.

Graduating Bourne High School in 1985 as captain of the football, hockey and golf teams, Tom starred on the Salem State golf team for four years, garnering Division 3 All-American honorable mention his senior year.

While in Florida Tom won the 2000 South Florida Open and the 2001 Southern Regional of the PGA Club Pro Championship. He won the South Florida Assistant’s Championship on two occasions, winning Player of the Year in the SouthEast Chapter of the South Florida Section in 2002.

Tom and Mick also captured the 1991 Pro-Assistant Championship at Myopia Hunt Club.

Tom and Mick won the 2005 NEPGA Pro-Pro Stroke Play Championship and the 2007 Cape Cod PGA Pro-Pro Championship.

Tom won the 2007 NEPGA Match Play Championship and finished 2nd on the NEPGA Wogan Player of the Year points standings for 2007 as well.
